710bhp F8 Tributo is replacement for 488 GTB, and will make public debut at the Geneva motor show
Ferrari has released images showing its new F8 Tributo supercar ahead of its appearance at next week’s Geneva motor show.
With a mid-mounted 3.9-litre V8 producing 710bhp, the F8 Tributo replaces the company’s performance-focused 488 GTB.

The model has been named in reference to its powertrain – the most powerful ever fitted to a production Ferrari – and the two-seater, mid-rear-engined layout used for celebrated Ferrari sports cars such as the 488 Berlinetta.

Alongside a weight reduction of around 40kg and 15% increase in downforce, Ferrari says the Tributo benefits from a 10% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency and the latest version of the company’s Side Slip Angle Control.
Some styling features, including the rear-facing front radiators and rear air intakes, are carried over from the 488 Pista, while a smaller steering wheel and redesigned S-duct intake distinguish the new model from its predecessor.
Louvres on the transparent engine cover are a design reference to the Ferrari F40, and the twin rear light clusters are a modern interpretation of those that featured on the 1975 308 GTB, the first eight-cylinder Berlinetta.
