If you want or need a track toy and can swing a $70,000 asking price, this 2009 Lotus 2-Eleven could be yours.
The owner/seller claims that the tires wear slowly and the brake pads last an entire racing season, so that right there is a selling point since the cost of tires and brakes can be prohibitive for those looking to work their way into amateur racing.
The car has the 1.8-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine from Toyota that makes 255 horsepower. That kind of power should have no problem pushing a 1,600-lb car around the track.

The transmission is a six-speed manual and it has factory parts like a rollbar and Recaro seats. The dash is custom, however, and the brake system has been upgraded.
The seller says the car is track-ready as is and this non-streetable car has never been used for racing, just for open track days. It also appears ready for open trailering.

Check it out if you're looking for a weekend toy for the summer.
