I will be leaving in a few minutes to head to downtown Chicago to work on our coverage of NASCAR's Grant Park 220 race. So, with that in mind, I have a question for you.
This is, apparently, the first street course that NASCAR has run. IndyCar runs street courses a few times each year, and we know F1's most famous race is on the streets of Monaco. I am wondering if NASCAR should continue to do more street races, regardless of how well Chicago things in Chicago go.
That's it. That's the question. Even if the race here doesn't go well for whatever reason, should NASCAR try this elsewhere? I say yes, though I understand how much it can inconvenience people. I think it can grow the sport and it makes for more interesting racing than ovals. I am not anti-oval, I just think it should be mixed up (I also love road courses).
So, what say you?
Sound off below.
