You Can Now Get Domino's Delivered Almost Anywhere

If you’ve ever tried to order a pizza while you’re at the beach or enjoying a nice afternoon at the park, you’ll know the hassle of trying to find a nearby address to have it delivered. Domino’s may have a solution, as the United States’ largest pizza chain is rolling out a new “anywhere” delivery service this summer.

The new program, Pinpoint Delivery, lets customers drop a pin on a map to specify a location. They can then track their order and the driver and get alerts. Limitations, such as delivery distance and availability, still apply. The company said the service is available in most stores, but you’ll need to check before getting your hopes up.

The service is another clever innovation for Domino’s, as it continues working to recover from slow sales. Late last year, the company announced an investment in a fleet of 800 Chevrolet Bolt EVs for delivery vehicles, and earlier this year, Domino’s made its app available for Apple CarPlay, letting drivers order pizza from their infotainment systems.

While these updates are likely welcome news for delivery pizza fans, Domino’s hasn’t always hit home runs with its initiatives. A few years back, the company decided to build its own delivery cars, with pizza ovens in the back seat and a unique Domino’s livery. Though the Chevy Spark-based cars were functionally solid and had a unique design, Domino’s ultimately canned the project after building just a few of the thousands planned.
