If you’re a child of the 1970s and 80s, there’s almost nothing more nostalgic than faded rainbow-colored graphics on cars and old t-shirts. Ford seemed to know this at the time, offering a Free Wheeling package for several models, including the Bronco. The automaker is back at it heading into 2024, as it recently announced a new package for the Bronco Sport.
The 2024 Bronco Sport Free Wheeling package brings retro-inspired body graphics, unique 17-inch painted wheels, and interior upgrades. Like the originals, the Sport gets a colorful exterior appearance boost, which includes several yellow, orange, and red stripes on the body sides. The grille is silver, and Ford modified the SUV’s lower front-end insert. Old-school models equipped with the package were targeted at young buyers, making it an excellent fit for the smaller, less expensive Bronco Sport.
Ford also announced a Black Appearance Package for the Sport, which brings a black grille and two-tone Bronco logos. The SUV gets matte black 17-inch wheels, hood graphics, a painted roof, and dark Ford badging.
The Bronco Sport picks up two new colors for 2024, including Azure Gray and Desert Sand. Neither is available with the Free Wheeling or Heritage Packages. Ford opens the order books for the 2024 Bronco Sport today if you’re into the pint-sized retro SUV.
