Stellantis has certainly gotten its money’s worth out of the Hellcat engine, but the good times appear to almost be over. We’ve known the Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Chrysler 300 were on borrowed time, taking the range of V8-powered variants with them, and now the automaker has announced that the last of its Hellcat-carrying vehicles is going away: The Ram 1500 TRX is headed for the door after the 2024 model year, though the standard truck will remain on sale.

Ram announced a TRX Final Edition for the last model year, which brings exclusive colors and features to the truck line, which is entering its fifth model year for 2024. Ram said it would limit production to 4,000 units for the last hurrah, but noted that there would be non-limited trucks on sale as well.

The Final Edition truck gets a unique interior with TRX stitching, special infotainment graphics, an interior badge showing the model’s build number, and carbon fiber accents. It also gets upgraded tech features, including a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a head-up display, a camera rearview mirror, and a handful of standard advanced driver aids.

Of course, the engine is what makes the TRX, and the V8 under its hood checks in at 6.2 liters. The mill produces 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, giving the TRX a top speed of 118 mph. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, and the powertrain delivers a 4.5-second 0-60 mph time and a 12.9-second quarter mile.
