This “T800” Isn’t From ‘The Terminator,’ It’s a Real Humanoid Robot

The T800 from EngineAI is a full-size humanoid robot designed for strength, mobility, and real-world applications. According to EngineAI, the robot stands roughly between 5.7 feet and 6 feet tall and weighs under 190 pounds, making it suitable for human-centric environments.

The T800 features over 40 degrees of freedom, allowing flexible, human-like movement of the arms, legs, and torso. Its aluminum-alloy frame is paired with high-torque joints, making it ideal for durability and heavy-duty tasks. EngineAI states that the robot runs on a modular solid-state battery with an estimated 2-to-4 hours of operation, depending on workload.

The humanoid is equipped with lidar and vision sensors to navigate complex environments. Promotional footage shows the T800 performing dynamic, combat-style movements, although large-scale real-world deployment is still in its early stages. Despite sharing a name with the iconic Terminator robot, this T800 is positioned for industrial, logistics, and commercial applications, not science fiction.
